ESL St. Patrick’s Day Activity: True or False
ESL St. Patrick’s Day Activity: True or False is a simple St. Patrick’s Day activity for teens and adults. In this activity, students test their knowledge about Ireland and Saint Patrick’s Day by deciding if the statements are true or false.
Level: Lower intermediate + (B1+) Time: 15 – 20 Minutes Materials: Copy of the presentation (see below)
Method
- First, put students into groups of two or more.
- Explain to students that you are going to show them some statements about St. Patricks’s Day and Ireland. In their pairs they must decide if the statements are true or false. They should discuss their opinions in English as they come to a conclusion.
- After each statement, the groups say what they have decided. They can explain their ideas if they want.
- Award students points for guessing the correct answer. At the end of the game (13 statements) the group with the most points wins.
- Enjoy and have fun!
