Hello!
I’m David. I’m from Ireland, but I’ve been teaching in Spain since 2011. I’m particularly interested in how technology can improve language teaching and make learning more engaging, effective, and fun. I was also a Cambridge English examiner for over 10 years, examining across all CEFR levels, and I hold a Master’s degree in Digital Technology, Communication and Education (TESOL) from the University of Manchester.
eslkidsgames.com was originally set up in 2012 as a way of sharing classroom ideas with colleagues and teachers from around the world. Since then, the site has helped thousands of teachers find practical games and activities for learners of all ages. All activities on the site are designed to encourage students to practise English in a communicative, motivating, and low-pressure way.
More recently, this work has expanded into a new project called LessonVibe.com. LessonVibe builds on the same classroom-first philosophy, using technology and AI to help teachers create high-quality learning games and activities faster, while keeping the focus firmly on learning outcomes and student engagement.
Alongside the websites, I also run an active YouTube channel, where I share practical classroom activities and ideas I use with my own students each week.
